In a year marked by shutdowns and uncertainty, led the creation of the 2020 Des Moines Parks and Recreation Annual Report, developing the central theme “Improvise, Adapt, Overcome and Celebrate” to reflect how our team continued to serve the community through challenge and change. With minimal programming and limited visuals, the report became a story of resilience. Crafted the narrative, coordinated content across departments to present a unified voice, and designed a layout that balanced transparency, gratitude, and pride.
Results: Delivered a full report despite reduced operations and content; Developed a theme that captured the spirit of the year; Reinforced the department’s mission and impact during a time of crisis.
